Hema Naeck
HR & Office Manager

Hema brings over 20 years of experience to Axis. She started her career in the financial services sector in 2000 at the Mauritius Offshore Business Activities Authority (the former regulatory body for the financial services sector), and following the restructuring of MOBAA into FSC and FSPA in 2001, she joined FSPA, the former governmental promotional agency for the sector. She was also Investment Advisor at the Board of Investment (BOI) after the merger of the FSPA with the BOI.
Hema joined Axis in 2008 and is responsible of the Human Resource and Administration departments. She is responsible in devising processes to improve and enhance efficiency, implementing workflow processes and providing support for the effective running of operations. Together with her team, she oversees payroll and rewards programmes, develops employment policies and procedures and is closely involved with talent acquisition.
Hema holds an MBA and a BA in Business Management from the University of Newcastle.
Shammeemkhan Abdoolakhan
Director of Talent and Technical Development

Shammeem Abdoolakhan is the Technical Director and Training Lead for the company. Shammeem serves as the primary technical training expert, providing leadership and support to our team in corporate and fiduciary services, as well as developing and implementing training programs, designing, and delivering training sessions, and developing technical documentation and resources under the Axis Academy.
Shammeem is a seasoned practitioner in the Financial Services Industry in Mauritius and has more than 23 years of professional experience in the trust industry and Global Business Sector. He holds a first degree in Economics and a postgraduate in Money and Banking from University of Free State South Africa. He has been extensively involved in the structuring, setting-up and administration of trusts and global business companies promoted by a wide portfolio of clients, including large multi-national companies and high net-worth individuals. He has been actively involved in the development of the Financial Services Industry through the Association of Trust and Management Companies (now Mauritius Finance) as well as the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Mauritius Branch of which he is the past Chairman and current board member. He is also a member of other Professional bodies such as International Fiscal Association (IFA), Mauritius Institute of Directors (Fellowship). He has served in several senior management role of multinational companies in Mauritius before joining Axis.
Shammeem Abdoolakhan is also a seasoned speaker at local and international STEP conferences and have previously lectured for the Master’s degree program at the Mauritius International Business School. He also serves an Independent Non-Executive Director on several Global Business Companies operating in various fields.
Jaysen Veerupen
Financial Controller & Head of Fund and Client Accounting

Jaysen is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Accounting & Finance department. He is involved in the supervision and management of accounting activities, ensuring timely reporting of quarterly accounts, budget, cash flow and strategic financial analysis as well the maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring as statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives. Prior to joining Axis, Jaysen was Finance Manager at a multinational financial services provider, and held other roles in the Finance departments at various other organisations in Mauritius.
Jaysen is ACCA qualified (UK), he holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Finance and is currently pursuing an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester.
Sayyad Khayrattee
Associate Director – Head of Business Development and Marketing

Sayyad Khayrattee is the Associate Director and Head of Business Development & Marketing at Axis Fiduciary Ltd, where he also leads the firm’s Middle East operations through Axis Fiduciary FZCO, based in Dubai, UAE.
With over 16 years of experience in the corporate, fiduciary, and fund services sector, Sayyad has advised clients on the structuring and administration of entities across multiple jurisdictions, including Mauritius, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, and other leading financial centres. His expertise spans corporate, trust, and foundation formations; cross-border structuring; and international business advisory, assisting both corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals in achieving efficient, compliant, and sustainable structuring solutions.
Sayyad plays a key role in steering Axis’s strategic expansion and business development across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, while overseeing the firm’s country representatives in India and Kenya. Leveraging his deep understanding of international markets and regulatory environments, Sayyad helps position Axis as a global partner of choice for clients seeking integrated cross-jurisdictional structuring solutions and long-term value creation.
A full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Sayyad comes from a legal background and holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London, together with a Postgraduate Diploma in Laws (Commercial & Corporate Laws) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (Equity & Trusts) from the same university.
Sayyad is recognised for his in-depth knowledge of corporate structuring, asset protection, estate planning, and statutory compliance frameworks across multiple international financial centres. His strategic mindset, cross-regional perspective, and client-centric approach continue to contribute to Axis’s growth and support Axis’s mission to build lasting partnerships and deliver trusted fiduciary and corporate services across key international markets.
Husayn Sassa
Associate Director – Fund & Investor Services

Husayn holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Management from the University of KwaZulu Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and leads the fund administration and investor relations cluster at AXIS.
Husayn has significant wealth of experience in the private equity space and in the setting-up and on-going administration of fund structures in Mauritius, that inter alia includes India-focused funds, open-ended funds that invests in listed securities and close-ended funds that invest in derivatives. He has been involved in the Financial Services Sector for over thirteen years and also has expertise in company (including global business companies) set up & structuring, company secretarial, accounting, administration and compliance matters amongst others.
Prior to joining Axis, he was engaged with other leading management companies in Mauritius. His recent position includes that of Senior Manager in the funds department, where he was managing a team of more than 40 professionals and served as Director on the Board of several client entities under his team’s portfolio.
Nadia Syed
Associate Director – Client Services
Areas of expertise: Corporate, Trust set-up & administration and Work & Residence Permit in Mauritius.
Nadia Syed is an Associate Director – Client Services at Axis, she has an accountancy background and embarked on a career in the financial services sector in 2006 as a Corporate Administrator. She quickly rose through the ranks and immediately before joining Axis, was assuming the function of Team Leader in the Corporate Department of one of the other leading corporate services provider operating in Mauritius. This exposed her to diverse and wide-ranging duties such as leading and coaching a team in all their work and develop best practice guidelines in conjunction with the client services team and management.
Nadia has also successfully completed the “Harvard Management Mentor Program”, which has helped build and broaden her leadership capabilities at Axis, she manages a team of around 10 people with 2 team leaders. She has been involved in the set up and administration of different types of structures including among others global business companies, domestic companies and trusts. Nadia regularly attends board meetings and also sits on the board of a number of global business companies and domestic companies.
Justyna Kannee
Senior Manager (Fund & Investor Services - Administration)

Justyna is a Senior Manager in the Fund Administration and Investor Services department at Axis. She leads a team handling the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of client companies which includes private equity fund structures, venture capital funds, Master-Feeder structures and self-managed schemes. Justyna assists fund managers with their middle office/secretarial function throughout the various stages of the fund life including but not limited to fund launch, capital calls, investments, deal execution, exits, capital calls, distributions, redemptions and liquidations. As part of her mandate, Justyna works closely with fund intermediaries to ensure the smooth running of her portfolio.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked as Team Leader and Assistant Manager in other leading management companies where she gained practical hands on exposure while working with various reputable private equity funds and managers. Justyna is completing the ACA qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Neeraj Bhogun
Senior Manager - Client Services

Neeraj Bhogun holds the position of Operations Manager at Axis Global Ltd previously known as Harel Mallac Global Ltd. Neeraj holds a Bachelor in Business Management with specialization in Finance from the University of Bangalore and a Diploma in Marketing Management from the University of Mauritius.
Prior to joining the company, Neeraj was engaged with other leading management companies in Mauritius. He has been in the global business sector for over 15 years and has in depth knowledge in, Fund and company set up, company secretarial and administration and compliance matters. Neeraj currently serves as Director on the Board of several client entities under his team’s portfolio.
Zinnat Khadaroo
Manager - Client Services

Zinnat is a manager at Axis with a wealth of experience in the financial services sector. Since delving into the industry in 2009 as a Corporate Administrator, she honed her skills and climbed the ladder. Prior to her current role, she served as a team leader in another leading management company, where she gained valuable insights into effective leadership and team dynamics.
In 2017, she joined Axis, where her journey took an enriching turn, adding a new dimension to her expertise. Managing a team of around 10 individuals, Zinnat oversees various structures’ setup and administration. From global business companies to authorised companies, domestic companies, and private client structures, she navigates through diverse portfolios of clients.
Zinnat holds a degree in finance with law from the University of Mauritius and pursued an MBA from the University of Technology in Mauritius.
Akhtar Ramjeet
Manager

Akhtar Ramjeet is the Manager of Fund Accounting department at AXIS Fiduciary Ltd (“AXIS”) and has been with the firm since 2018.
He leads a team of more than 20 accountants responsible for the day-to-day accounting and tax functions of private equity and master-feeder fund structures and ensures that their financial statements and practices are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. He coaches his team members in how to foster quality client-centric relationships. His team service a number of fund structures with DFIs and institutional investors focused on investment in Africa.
Prior to joining AXIS, Akhtar was with another leading management company in Mauritius from July 2013 until April 2018. He was involved in Fund/Company set up and structuring, company secretarial, accounting and tax, administration and compliance matters, amongst others. The past 10 years in the global business sector has enabled Akhtar to acquire in-depth knowledge in the field of accounting and taxation, during which he became acquainted with best practices in the aforementioned areas.
Akhtar holds a BSc Accounting (Minor Finance) from the University of Mauritius. He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK and was admitted as member in 2016. He is also a member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants.
Nathasha Hosanee
Manager - Client Services

Nathasha Hosanee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The Curtin University and a Master of Business Administration from the Open University of Mauritius.
Nathasha is a Client Services Manager at Axis. She joined Axis in April 2016 as a senior client executive and quickly moved up the ladder by being promoted to Team Leader in January 2018 and subsequently to Assistant Manager and is now a Manager. She quickly became an invaluable member of the team.
Nathasha joined the financial services sector in 2011 and has built robust experience in the financial services industry, having been actively involved in the set-up and administration of a multitude of structures, including companies, trust and foundations in a career spanning more than 10 years.
Before joining AXIS, Nathasha worked in the Corporate Department of one of the other leading corporate services provider operating in Mauritius. This exposed her to diverse and wide-ranging duties such as leading and coaching a team in all their work and develop best practice guidelines in conjunction with the client services team and management. She has been involved in the set up and administration of different types of structures including among others global business companies, domestic companies and trusts. Nathasha regularly attends board meetings and also sits on the board of a number of global business companies and domestic companies.
Nathasha is currently completing her course to become an affiliate of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Zahra Allam
Manager - Compliance & Risk

Management
As the Manager – Compliance & Risk, Zahra is dedicated to ensuring that the organizational operations adhere to legal standards and internal policies. In this respect, she also assumes the role of the Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer of Axis Fiduciary Ltd and other entities within the AXIS group.
With a strong background in regulatory compliance, risk management, and policy development, she plays a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the organization.
Zahra regularly attends and contributes to the Client Risk Assessment Forum of the Axis group where
decisions are taken on AML/CFT matters. She is actively involved in designing and implementing compliance-related projects in alignment with compliance requirement and organizational goals.
She also participates in preparing and delivering compliance training programs for staff to promote awareness and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
Zahra holds a degree in Finance (Minor: Law) from the University of Mauritius, a postgraduate degree in
Finance and Investment from the Open University of Mauritius and was awarded with an International
Graduate Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance from the Open University of Mauritius in collaboration
with the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. She has more than 10 years of experience in the
financial services sector.
Nishal Dina
Manager - Client Accounting

Nishal leads a team of accountants to manage clients’ day-to-day accounting and tax functions. His primary responsibility is to ensure that the financial statements and tax affairs adhere to relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, Nishal actively coaches his team members on fostering high-quality, client-centric relationships.
Nishal has been an integral part of AXIS since 2015, where he currently serves as the manager in the client accounting department. Before joining AXIS, he gained valuable experience during his six-year tenure at a chartered accountant firm. Starting as a junior auditor, Nishal quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior auditor. He led and assisted in auditing large group companies across diverse industries, including hotels, banking, textiles, federations, freight, offshore structure, and manufacturing companies.
His extensive eight-year involvement in the global business sector has equipped Nishal with profound knowledge in the fields of accounting and taxation. Notably, he studied for the ACCA qualification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK).
