The Workers’ Rights Act 2019 (the “Act”) came into force by proclamation in the Government Gazette on 24 October 2019. The provisions of the Act relating to “Portable Retirement Gratuity Fund”, however, will only come into effect on 1 January 2020. The Act repeals the Employment Rights Act 2008 (“ERA”).
