Reopening of the Axis office

As previously advised, Mauritius remains in a state of sanitary curfew until 01 June 2020 but certain activities, which are subject to strict sanitary measures and whose employees hold work access permits, have been allowed to resume since 15 May 2020.

We are pleased to inform you that we have officially reopened our office on Monday 18 May 2020, and in line with the staged de-confinement protocol defined by the Government of Mauritius for the financial services sector, our office is being manned by a limited number of staff consisting mainly of the support services team.

As has been the case since the beginning of this unprecedented crisis, our priority continues to be to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and their families. We have therefore implemented the necessary health and safety protocols to ensure that those who are working from the office operate within a safe and sound environment, in accordance with Government and WHO protocols.

Within the same spirit, we have also decided that even beyond 01 June 2020, we will encourage most of our team to continue to work from home until further notice. Our tried and tested business continuity plans have enabled us to work seamlessly since the country went into lockdown on Friday 20 March 2020 and we shall continue to provide our clients with the same level of service that they are used to.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support throughout these testing times.  If you have any queries or concerns in respect of the above or have any enquiries relating to your business, please feel free to contact your respective relationship person by email and they will revert to you at earliest.

We wish you, your families, and your staff continued health and safety.

Kind Regards

Assad Abdullatiff – Managing Director
