Mauritius set to reopen its borders on 01 October 2021

Mauritius is set to reopen its borders as from 01 October 2021. The country has so far had a highly successful vaccination campaign and it is one of the African nations with the highest vaccination rates in Africa, with over 60% of the overall population (82% of local adult population) vaccinated.

With the reopening of its borders, Mauritius will be allowing entry into the country to fully vaccinated individuals while respecting sanitary and safety protocols. Unvaccinated travelers for their end can also travel to the country but will be the subject of a 14 days in-room quarantine in a state designated hotel/facility.
