Axis is delighted to share that our Associate Director of Compliance and Risks, Mr. Ameer Caunhye, participated in Cascade’s first AML Panel and Networking Cocktail Event on 27 June. The insightful discussions, led by Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker Honourable Soomilduth Bholah, along with expert professionals in the industry, were truly enlightening. Mr. Caunhye shared valuable insights on the daily challenges faced by compliance professionals and the importance of frequent independent AML audits. Notably, a bill is being proposed to strengthen the AML framework, and our jurisdiction is gearing up for the next FATF evaluation in June 2027. It was a delightful blend of knowledge sharing and networking.
