On 14 July 2025, the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) released new guidelines under Section 52 of the FCCA, introducing compliance expectations for all legal persons, from SMEs to major corporations.

Key highlights include a focus on top-level commitment, risk assessments, control measures, ongoing monitoring, and training. A mandatory Gifts, Hospitality & Promotional Expenditure (GHPE) Policy has also been introduced.

These principles are designed to strengthen the fight against financial crime, corruption, and money laundering.
