Enhancing Trade and Investment: Mauritius-China FTA Cooperation Forum Explores Opportunities

The inaugural Mauritius-China FTA Cooperation Forum was held on August 31, 2023, coinciding with the First Mauritius-China FTA Joint Commission. The forum aimed to share in-depth knowledge regarding the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and explore avenues for expanding commercial activities. Discussions revolved around strategic initiatives to maximize the FTA’s potential for trade and investment between Mauritius and China.

Mr. Yang emphasized enhanced bilateral trade between the two jurisdictions, while the Economic Development Board Chairman highlighted the forum’s role in facilitating FTA implementation and benefit from duty-free access to a wide array of products including financial services.
