Axis Fiduciary Ltd is pleased to celebrate the recognition of our Managing Director, Assad Abdullatiff, who has been honoured with the STEP Founder’s Award for Outstanding Achievement — one of the highest distinctions given within the global STEP community.
This achievement carries special significance, as Assad becomes the first Mauritian to receive this award. It marks an important moment for Axis and the wider financial services industry in Mauritius.
The STEP Founder’s Award is one of the Society’s most prestigious honours, recognising members who have demonstrated exceptional, long-term service to STEP. It celebrates individuals whose leadership, commitment, and voluntary contributions have significantly advanced STEP’s mission in professional education, global standards, and community development. Recipients are those who have gone far beyond the responsibilities expected of a member, making a lasting impact on the organisation and the private client profession worldwide.
Assad’s involvement with STEP spans more than two decades, during which he has contributed meaningfully to the development of the private client and wealth planning profession. His roles have included:
• Chairman of STEP Mauritius
• Council Member (2017–2023)
• Director on the STEP Worldwide Board (2020–2024)
• Chair of the STEP EDI Committee
• Judge, STEP Private Client Awards 2025
• Contributor to STEP’s thought-leadership initiatives
The Founder’s Award recognises members who have demonstrated sustained commitment and service over many years. Assad’s dedication and collaborative approach have supported the growth of STEP both in Mauritius and internationally.
